I’m undertaking a challenge today - I’m going to see if I can find a product co-equal to omni outliner pro for XP. I think this will be more difficult that I anticipate, based on my preliminary searching. Although it seems like the omni folks have a great niche market. I can think of a few hundered law students that are stuck with XP for test-taking (ahem, depaul, i’mlookingatyou) and I’m sure there are thousands of others out there that can’t afford the $1,200 for a macbook, but can certainly afford $70 for some snazzy software, especially if it would make their lives easier.

Why do you mac folks get all the cool toys! Argh.

Went to the White Sox game tonight. (Thanks WGN, for renting us your Luxury Suite!) Free hot dogs, desert cart, all the booze / beer my coworkers could imbibe, and lots and lots of fun. Plus the sox one, and I made it home without being shot. It was a good night!

Tomorrow is also a big day at work. It’s my 3 year anniversary with the company. It is also the day I plan on giving my boss written notice! Woot. I’m out of there in 4 weeks baby.

And the ? Why do all the .mac folks get the cool toys? I was just watching a video for “ominoutliner pro” and it looks like a slick way to set up my law outlines. Too bad I can afford a macbook pro just for class. Heh…although, that might be an interesting idea….hmmm. I’ve got student loan money burning a hole in my pocket, and I don’t even have all my student loans yet.

What can I say? Welcome to the end of freedom. Might as well just have the government control banking and communications. It would make it easier for them to catch “The bad guys” - i.e. the people that disagree with them .

If you have any business with AT&T, you should NOT accept the new privacy agreement, and force them to let you out of your contract. What they are doing is not a “good business practice” and it is not in the customer’s best interest. It is not in the customer’s interest at all. The right to “privacy” might be a myth in this country, but you should still make an effort to avoid letting them overtly manipulate standard business practices with this new policy. Wow, this is a surprisingly simple and interesting thought. What if we only really like people as much as they like us back? Hmmmm. Could explain a few of my failed relationships. Certainly there is some gift in recognizing “the forest for the trees” as it were. Maybe admitting the truth in “symmetry” is a bit scary but - is it appropriate?
